The ‘Torque Show’ podcast
Scope
The Torque Show started life as a podcast that documented Rhys' bikepacking trips across Germany. The first edition was entitled 'Canyon to Rapha' and the latter, 'The Commute'. These initial recordings acted as documentation alongside the written content on Medium. The podcast in its current guise developed following several recordings with the Coalition Alpha team, as they discussed the development of the sport since it's inception in 2019. Most recently, Rhys has interviewed people he has found to be insprising within the world of creativity – most notably Chas Bayfield who was active in the 90's UK advertising scene and Peredur ap Gwynedd: guitarist for drum & bass rock band Pendulum.
The current branding of the podcast was originally developed as a cycling kit for Rhys' racing team in Berlin. MJ Jackson, long suffering collaborator, took one of Rhys' sketches and the cover of an Autechre album and produced one of the best looking cycling kits in the world. The kit was produced in collaboration with Rapha and was one of the very last Rapha Custom kits produced.
