The launch of Howell & Howell

We finally did it. After years of sitting in the same room, doing very complimentary but different work, we combined forces. Now, if you buy one Howell, you get one free. Well… you get the idea! We probably won’t go as far as calling the living room the “breakout area”, but we will work on a series of projects side-by-side.

Together, we have 28 years of experience working in the world of content and marketing. During this time, we’ve worked with some of the biggest brands across various industries. We both have a “very particular set of skills” and interests, allowing us to offer a genuinely holistic approach that fully covers strategy and implementation.

So why did we want to do our own thing? Here are two key reasons:

  1. The timing was right! We had both finished in-house roles and wanted to turn our experience towards specific industries.
  2. We’re both genuinely passionate about protecting people and the planet, whether that’s conserving and regenerating the environment or helping folks live healthier lives. Starting our own agency allows us to team up with clients whose values align with ours.

What do we want to achieve?

We’re a purpose-led business driven by a deep desire to make the world a happier and healthier place. We want to:

  • Protect Planet A: whether it’s promoting the restoration of natural habitats, campaigning for climate-friendly policy or helping individuals and companies to introduce more sustainable choices, we’re here to help amplify the brands and organisations fighting for a better future.
  • Improve people’s health and wellbeing – we have a tonne of experience in the sports and outdoor industries. Getting people outside and moving is vital to building a better world. It doesn’t matter whether you’re heading out to connect with nature or other people; it’s all about having a healthy mind and body.
  • Increase access to good data – sifting through the quagmire of information and disinformation available online today can be challenging. We want to play an active role in elevating valuable data and stamping down disinformation.
  • Champion great design – we’re both incredibly passionate about design. Design is the unspoken language that resonates with people in a way no other medium can. A great idea poorly communicated is as good as worthless.
  • Freedom to be ourselves – We have no interest in being boring. Starting our own agency offers us the freedom to be who we want to be and do the work we believe in. It also allows us to provide our clients with the kind of radical creativity that will make them stand out in a sea of beige.

We look forward to starting this new chapter together and hope to grow our small team in the coming years.
